Consumer advocate Elizabeth Warren considers joining the Democratic race to defeat GOP Sen. Scott Brown.
Warren, who recently ended her stint in the Obama administration, has never run for office.
Warren drew the ire of Republicans when she worked in the Treasury Department to set up the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, an agency created by the Dodd-Frank law regulating Wall Street.
Warren understands that a race against Brown would require a fierce campaigner. Democrat Martha Coakley, who ran against Brown in the special election, ran what some considered a lackluster race.
